The reason why cannot achieve dean's list :

World Hunger (Part 2)

Hi guys, we meet you again.

How are you today? The previous post was about the world hunger. This week we will continue about the same topic but in terms of causes and how to overcome the world hunger. As mentioned in the previous entry, Asia and Pacific stated the highest statistics of hungry people in 2010. Most of the countries in the East Africa such as Sudan, Ethiopia, Niger go through this world hunger problem due to food shortages, war, conflict, economic mismanagement and drought. The latest issue of famine occurred in the Republic of Somalia's drought worsens months by months, declaring a famine in a new area.

To overcome hunger in the world, which is now affecting more than one million people. The rich nations were socially and morally responsible to help poor countries expand and improve their food production by creating new farming technologies could also help solve world hunger . Another way to solve world hunger would be to improve the food distribution infrastructure. A number of first-world countries have massive surpluses of staple crops and grains, especially wheat, rice and corn.

We should thankful living in the advanced country without food shortage like other country just now. Thus, you should remember the other people that were suffering because of food crisis before you guys throwing out and wasting your food :)

Peace yawww!

World Hunger (Part 1)

Good Morning guys!

How's your day today? What do you take for sahur? And what is your menu for iftar today? Guys, remember that wasting is the practice of syaitan'. Have you ever think that so many people around the world are scarcity of food and facing world hunger? While others are enjoying eating their food, there are some people that suffer because lack of food and have to struggle for their life.

Hunger is a term which has three meanings (Oxford English Dictionary 1971)
  • the uneasy or painful sensation caused by want of food; craving appetite. Also the exhausted condition caused by want of food
  • the want or scarcity of food in a country
  • a strong desire or craving
World hunger refers to the second definition, aggregated to the world level. The related technical term is malnutrition. According to the statistics shown below, Asia and the Pacific stated the highest number of hungry people in 2010.

HOW WE OVERCAME CHALLENGES DURING RAMADHAN (Part 2)

Assalamualaikum

It has been a 21th Ramadhan already and it feels like this month has gone by at the blink of an eye. Of course we are entering the last ten of Ramadhan called Lailatul Qadar. Lots of things happened in this month storied in the previous entry. I mean challenges, yes CHALLENGES. All we need is a thing called patience and ask Allah The Most Powerful and Merciful for serenity and His barakah. With lots of things and works need to be done, of course we will feel tired mentally and physically especially during this fasting month.

But, every problems and challenges of course there will be solutions. In terms of what we did during Ramadhan are more to spiritually. Which is by reading and understanding Al-Quran, doing dzikir whenever is can, charity and helping someone that much needed. Besides that, eating sahur properly is also the way to overcome tiredness instead of taking milo and cracker only for sahur. As we know, Ramadhan is about how we bear hunger, thirsty and how we manage anger by doing positive activities and increasing our taqwa to Allah SWT. Come on guys, lets raise our hands and make du'a during this Holy Month! Barakallahumma.

HOW WE OVERCAME CHALLENGES DURING RAMADHAN (Part 1)

Hello guys! :)
This is our 4th times we had Ramadhan as a student in MICET. But, for this time as a bachelor student which is there were so so many challenges during fasting due to the packed classes and lots of task and assignment need to be done and submitted within the due date given. There were also some classes need to be replaced at night due to the lack of time as they need to prepare for iftar or breakfasting earlier.

Most of us do make a special effort to be better Muslims during Ramadhan because we know the significance of this month and the benefits of fasting. Fasting is not so easy, but it gives benefits to us in a healthy way and spiritually too. These are the benefits of fasting :

  1. Rest the digestive system
  2. Allow for cleansing and detoxification of the body
  3. Create a break in eating patterns, while shining a spotlight on them
  4. Promote greater mental clarity
  5. Cleanse and heal "stuck" emotional patterns
  6. Lead to a feeling of physical lightness, increasing energy level
  7. Promote an inner stillness, enhancing spiritual connection.

The hint of ginger and a bit of chili flakes compliments really well with the wings. This was indeed a finger licking good for iftar. Ramadhan Al-Kareem

Ramadhan is the Islamic month of fasting is which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking and other few things that are probihited during daylight hours. Ramadhan is intended to teach Muslims about patience and spiritually.
This year, Ramadhan was celebrated at the same with the National month and started on 1st August. On 1st Ramadhan many of people went to bazar for food hunting for iftar meal. There were lots of people sell variety of foods and drinks at the small stalls called bazar Ramadhan.

Breaking fast is the time that everyone was waiting for. Everyone was very excited waiting for Azan. Interestingly, each Ramadhan, kurma is the most popular food  before continue with the others.
Fasting is not easy but most of us make a special effort to be better Muslims during Ramadhan because we know the significance of this month and the benefits of fasting. Or do we? While we agree with those who say that it results in spiritual and physical detox, a better sense of self-control and a greater appreciation of simple daily pleasures that we often take for granted, we must always remember that God has succinctly told us in the Holy Qur'an regarding the true purpose of fasting in Islam.
InsyaAllah, this Ramadhan will be a month of sincerity for all of us and alhamdulillah, we've been given another opportunity to experience this blessed occasion so let's make the best of it because we don't know for sure if we'll be lucky enough to be alive next Ramadhan, do we?
Ramadhan al-Mubarak everyone! May Allah SWT continuously increase our iman and accept our good deeds in this month and the years to come. Amin.

The Experience as a Bachelor Student

Assalamualaikum.

Hopefully you guys do enjoy our incoming entries :)

About three months ago, we were offered to continue our study as bachelor students in UniKL MICET which is the same university during our diploma. We were offered the same course which is Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Environment. We were very glad that there were chances for us to further our study.

A week before the registration day, we were very exciting to begin our new life as a bachelor student. We can't wait on learning new things, meeting new friends and lecturers. Also, how hard the obstacles would be to become a future Environmental Engineer. Well, we are back then!

The Experience as a Bachelor Student (Part 2)

We are going to continue about our experiences of being a Bachelor student in MICET. Well, as you know, UniKL are known as a practically hands-on university which is fully equipped with advanced facilities and technologies. For a moment, we were very proud to be one of the student at UniKL MICET. But, on 17th July 2011 everything was started. As we stepped in MICET, what we can see that the environment is still remain the same and there is nothing changed. The registration day was going smoothly and as we arrived at hostel, we found that all hostel block have disruption of water supply for about four days.

How 'lucky' we are. On the first week of study, lots of things need to be done such  as credit transfer, add and drop subject and arrange our study plan. What a hectic week for us.

Unfortunately, the academic and management structure was changed. We can only transfer 30 % of the total credit to graduate which is not as much as the previous batch. The total credit that we should take also increased until 140 credit hour. Besides that, the timetable for our class was clashed and changed for about three times. However, all of these challenges that we have been through, we had became the person that are strong, brave and bold in facing incoming difficulties in life as bachelor student.

But we still love MICET :)
